Funkus Finkolia Calculators was founded in 1977 by a group of funky geeks and pioneers, who had decided to leave Funk Industries to pursue their own dream of creating the most innovative and exclusive computer peripherals in the world. The founders knew they were the best in the business and they also loved mushrooms (Fungi in Latin) very much. The word 'Fungi' placed before the name 'Funk Industries' in the phone book. That not only means that Funkus peripherals and software are better than the Functioner ones, but also means that Funkus is far ahead of Funk Industries itself, it is a unique example of an 'IT avant-garde'
